Eco-Friendly Wrapping Paper Tutorial
Things you’ll need:
-Recyclable brown wrapping paper
-String
-Seasonal leaves
Top tip:
Not all brown wrapping paper can be recycled! Make sure to check the packaging for the recyclable logo before purchasing.
Eco-friendly wrapping paper guide
First, place your gift into the centre of the paper and trim. If your gift is an awkward shape, try placing it into a box to make wrapping even easier!
Pull paper tightly towards the end and use paper tape to stick down. Most paper tape is compostable and recyclable, making it the perfect adhesive for a full recyclable gift wrapper.
Lay the box face down and gently tie your string or ribbon towards the front. Repeat on the longer side of the gift and tie in place. This will create a traditional looking gift!
Top tip:
Avoid using ribbon or string with glitter as it can contaminate other materials and make them unrecyclable.
Decorate the string by adding a few sprigs such as rosemary or holly as a perfect final touch.
Eco-friendly wrapping paper doesn’t have to look plain or boring, consider spraying some leaves with paint to make those final touches sparkle.
Why not make your own eco-friendly wrapping paper this year and save unnecessary waste going to landfill?
