How to remove scratches on glass
How to remove scratches on glass using toothpaste
Materials:
Plain white toothpaste
Vinegar
Microfibre cloth
Clean the glass area to remove any dirt and grime. Apply a thick layer ot toothpaste over the scratch and gently buff in circular motions using a damp microfibre cloth.
After buffing, use a dry microfibre cloth to remove any toothpaste residue and to examine the scratch. Repeat the steps above until the scratch has disappeared.
Mix 1 part vinegar with 1 part warm water to create a natural window cleaner. Gently dip the microfibre cloth into this solution and apply to the glass. Wipe this away using a dry cloth for a streak free finish.
How to remove scratches on glass using nail polish
Materials:
Clear nail polish
Nail polish remover
A dry microfibre cloth
Clean the glass area and ensure that all dust and debris has been removed.
Apply a thin layer of clear nail polish to the scratch and leave to set for an hour.
Use some nail polish remover to remove the polish from the surface. Some nail polish will remain in the scratch and this will reduce its appearance.
How to remove scratches on glass using baking soda
Materials:
Baking soda
Warm water
Microfibre cloth
In a bowl, mix equal parts of baking soda and water until a paste forms.
Use a damp microfibre cloth to gently rub the paste over the scratch.
Rub the paste into the scratch using circular motions.
Wipe away the baking soda residue with a damp cloth. Repeat until the scratch has disappeared.
