Homemade dust-repelling spray

Mix half a tablespoon of oil, a tablespoon of vinegar, half a cup of water and a couple of drops of washing up liquid into a bowl. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and tackle your dustiest areas with a few sprays and a dry microfibre cloth.
The vinegar will kill dust mites and the olive oil creates a coating that will prevent dust from building up as easily.
Close windows
Most of the dust inside a property will travel in from the outside. A simple way to reduce dust is to keep windows and doors closed where possible. You can also use caulk to seal cracks around door and window frames to prevent dust from coming in from small openings.
