To clean a coffee machine you’ll need:
Top tip:
always leave your coffee machine lid fully open after to use to allow it to fully dry
First, fill your coffee machine reservoir with a 50-50 mixture of warm water and white vinegar.
For particularly stubborn stains, consider adding a little more vinegar. The vinegar dissolves mineral build-up while sanitising the carafe.
Turn the coffee maker on and complete a full brewing cycle. Once complete, discard the paper filter and pour out the vinegar solution.
Refill the coffee machine with water and turn the coffee machine on again to remove any remaining vinegar.
Repeat for two cycles and wipe down the coffee machine with the microfibre cloth.
The carafe should be washed after every use. To remove the build-up of dirt and grime simply add some warm water, uncooked rice and washing-up liquid to the carafe.
Give the mixture a swirl to create bubbles and use a damp cloth to remove any build-up.
