Find out how to clean a microwave naturally below.
Place half a cup of water into a microwave-safe container such as a jug.
Squeeze two halves of a lemon into the water and place them into the water.
Microwave the water for at least three minutes until the liquid comes to a boil. Leave the door closed for five minutes to let the steam lift off any food residue.
Use a damp sponge or cloth to gently wipe the inside of the microwave from top to bottom. Afterwards, wipe down the door handle and front of the microwave with a little white vinegar if necessary.
Top tip: for stubborn stains repeat the process above with a mixture of warm water and four tablespoons of white vinegar.
Mix baking soda with warm water to create a paste. Use a soft cloth to spread the paste over the inside of the microwave focusing on stubborn areas.
Scrub with hot water and a soft cloth until stains are removed. Wipe down with a soft microfibre cloth or paper towels.
