As holiday let properties open their doors across the UK, it is now more than ever crucial to provide a safe and clean environment to protect current and future guests.
We have evaluated our cleaning procedures and adapted them with the focus of disinfecting and sanitising properties. Here are some of our main changes that aim to keep our staff and your visitors safe during COVID-19.
Keeping Cleaners Safe
All of our staff are equipped with bright signs which are placed outside of properties at the beginning of a clean. This informs others that a clean is in process and aims to encourage a 2-metre distance amongst those who need to enter a property.
We provide all of our cleaners with PPE to wear prior to entering the property. This PPE is then changed to a fresh set after the safe removal of dirty linen.
We are encouraging all staff members to open windows at the start of the clean to allow fresh air to circulate the property and help surfaces dry quicker.
Cleaning, then sanitising
Our cleaners are all equipped with a thorough checklist that highlights the most frequently touched areas in a property.
This acts as a reminder to ensure that no areas are forgotten and that germ hotspots such as key holders, door handles and bannisters are thoroughly cleaned.
All surfaces are cleaned, sanitised and fully dried to prevent the growth of bacteria.
All furniture is moved and hoovered behind, with dusting covering all levels. This enables a thorough clean and helps the guest feel safe in a welcoming environment.
Disinfectant fogging service
We have invested in high quality fogging machines which allow a property to be sprayed thoroughly with an environmentally-friendly disinfectant at the end of a clean.
If requested, this service allows all surfaces (including fabric and porous materials) to be sprayed with a disinfectant which kills harmful bacteria and viruses and remains active for a period of 24 hours.
This
service
allows holiday let properties to keep decorative items, such as blankets and pillows, within the property as the fogging machine is able to eliminate any germs left on them before the arrival of the next guest.
At MMCS, we understand the importance of welcoming a new guest into a safe and clean property to make them feel extra special. We can also provide top-up consumables (such as soap, coffee and tea) as well as a bedmaking service. Find out more about our holiday let changeover service
