Holy Island, also known as Lindisfarne, is a located a few miles off the Northumberland coast. Cut off twice a day by fast tides, the island has a charming village and boasts a wealth of history.
The circular route around Holy Island Lindisfarne starts at the island’s car park. The postcode is TD15 2SE. Immediately head north along the causeway towards the dunes at Snook Point. Follow the beach towards the sandy paths that will take you around the rocky east coast. From here, there is a route towards the beach at The Basin before a steep climb up the bank to follow the narrow path that leads to the car park.

Northumberland is home to over 70 castle sites, including Bamburgh castle which has surviving parts that date back to the 12th century. A popular filming location, Bamburgh castle has been shown in films including Macbeth, Robin of Sherwood and Elizabeth.
This circular walk begins at Bamburgh Links Road Car Park. The postcode is NE69 7BJ. Head across the dunes to reach the beach before following the Northumberland Coastal Path over the cliff tops surrounding Budle Bay. Head across the golf course and follow the road into Bamburgh village. Take in the stunning scenery of the castle and bay before looping back to the car park.

Craster is located on the Northumberland coast and is named after the Craster family who held the estate since approximately 1272. The small village features quarries, scenic walking trails and views of Dunstanburgh castle that can be reached after a one-and-a-half-mile walk across the scenic Northumberland Coast Path.
This scenic circular walk explores the Northumberland Coastal path to the south of Craster. It begins by arriving at Howick Hall, where you'll have a choice to pay and explore the gardens before continuing or navigating around them via the road. Follow the Northumberland Coastal Path and take in the views of the North Sea towards the Sugar Sands cove before heading past the Jolly Fisherman (perfect for enjoying locally caught fish). After exploring Craster, head southwest towards the farmlands and walk gently uphill to immerse yourself into the open countryside. Eventually, you'll find yourself back at the ground of Howick Hall.
